Privacy

• Your email — to sign you in (passwordless link) and, only if you opt in, to notify you about issues you follow.
• Your address — to confirm you're a Mt. Lebanon resident and to place issues in the right ward. Your exact address is never shown publicly.
• What you submit — the concerns, comments, and support you choose to add.

We do not sell data, run ads, or share personal information with the municipality or anyone else beyond what you choose to make public.

When you submit, you choose how it appears:

• Public — shown with your name and ward (by default, like giving your name at a council meeting; you can show just your first name per matter). Your name is never searchable.
• Verified, shown anonymously — counted in the totals and your ward, but your name isn't shown.
• Private / not public — visible only to authorized Eunomia reviewers. Municipal staff see private submissions only if the municipality formally participates in Eunomia, or if you separately submit through official municipal channels.

Two things are kept distinct. The public record — official meeting minutes and decisions — is reported completely: anyone the minutes name (officials, appointees, applicants, whoever moved or seconded a motion) is named clearly in our summaries. Eunomia does not redact the public record; if a name is in the official minutes, it is public. Separately, on Eunomia itself you control your own identity: your submissions and support can appear by name (the default, like giving your name at a council meeting), by first name only, anonymously, or privately. That is a choice about your participation here — it never changes what the municipality's public record already says. Sensitive redactions to the official record are the municipality's responsibility; if a name in the record is wrong, use the correction channel.

Ward and category breakdowns that could single someone out use k-anonymity: demographic groups smaller than five people are combined so no individual can be inferred. Counts of already-public issues (e.g. how many were addressed in a ward) are shown without that floor, since they don't expose who submitted anything.

You can edit or withdraw what you submitted, turn off notifications, opt out of appearing in public reports, and request that your account be removed. See the methodology for how residency is verified and how support is counted.
