Accessibility
Mt. LebanonCivic Memory is committed to making civic participation available to everyone. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA and to keep participation possible for people who can't attend meetings in person.
Participate on your own schedule
You don't have to attend a meeting to take part. You can submit concerns and prepare comments for upcoming meetings any time — evenings, weekends, whenever works for you. Eunomia keeps a public, organized record of what residents raise, so community comments and concerns are easy for officials and neighbors to find and reference. This is by design, to include people managing work, caregiving, transportation, disability, or other barriers to in-person attendance.
Eunomia is an independent platform and can't guarantee that any official reviews a particular comment. What it can do is make resident input public, durable, and easy to point to.
What we've built in
- Keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
- Color contrast meeting AA for text, buttons, and badges.
- Labeled forms and status messages that work with screen readers.
- Reduced-motion support for people who prefer less animation.
- Plain-language summaries of meetings and issues.
